Ready to step into a Contract Administrator role where you actually own projects, not just support them? If you’re already working as a CA in townhouse construction, or you’re in a Project Administrator role doing CA-level work, this is a genuine step forward. Why this role? Base salary: $95k – $110k super Clear progression into Project Management or Development Management Exposure across the full project lifecycle, from deposit through to handover Builder–developer environment, giving you broader commercial exposure A supportive team that trusts you to get on with the job Flexibility to work from home once you’re up to speed and delivering South East Melbourne office, with a strong pipeline of secured townhouse projects The role You’ll take ownership of the pre-construction and contract administration process, making sure projects are properly set up before they hit site, and continue to run smoothly through delivery. You’ll be across the full lifecycle, not just one phase, giving you a much better understanding of how projects are actually put together. You’ll be responsible for: Driving permits and approvals through councils and consultants Managing contracts, documentation, specifications, and selections Handling variations, provisional sums, EOTs, RFIs, and delays Working directly with clients throughout pre-construction and delivery Coordinating closely with site teams to keep everything aligned There’s a lot going on, multiple projects, tight timeframes, and moving parts, so it’ll suit someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership. The Builder You’ll be joining an established builder in the townhouse space, delivering a high volume of double and triple-storey developments each year. What makes this role different is the builder–developer model. You’ll gain exposure to both sides of the process, giving you a broader understanding of how projects are structured and delivered. The business has grown steadily over the past decade, focusing on quality, profitability, and long-term relationships, which has resulted in a strong and secure pipeline of work. They also take a practical approach to flexibility. Once you’re across the projects, systems, and team, there’s the ability to work from home when needed, as long as the work is being delivered and communication remains strong. Are you the right fit? You’ll already be working as a Contract Administrator within residential construction, ideally across townhouse or medium-density projects. Or, you’ll be in a Project Administrator role within the townhouse space where you’re effectively doing the CA job, handling variations, documentation, and project coordination day to day. You understand how townhouse projects come together from pre-site through to handover, and you’re comfortable dealing directly with developer clients, managing communication clearly and professionally. You take pride in detail, ownership, and delivering work properly. If you haven’t been working on townhouse projects at that level, or aren’t confident managing client communication, this won’t be the right role. If this sounds like your next step, apply now.
